Just finished up a new children’s television series “Het Griezelgenootschap Junior” for the NCRV.
I am a Freelance Special Make-up Effects Artist with a fully equipped workshop and mobile make-up facility. I can design, sculpt, mould, cast and apply prosthetics for a multitude of media such as Film, television, theatre and events. I can create prosthetics from:
and I'm well versed in creating dental prostethics. I can create small prosthetics such as wounds, scars and noses but also bigger full head masks and prosthetics. I can also fabricate artificial bodyparts such as arms, legs, heads and even entire bodies. I can also supply prosthetics or make-up effects for a shoot or performance and train other make-up artists to do the actual application of my prosthetics. Through the year several courses are given in my studio; see my webshop for details. |

My workshop has several rooms all for different purposes; make-up application, design, sculpture molding and finishing. There are vacuum degassing machines, ovens, pressure tanks and anything else required to make eleborate make-up effects.
Prosthetics are all basically made the same way; they start with a lifecast of the actor in either silicone or alginate of wich positives are made. On these the prosthetic is sculpted. Moulds are made of these and in those molds the prosthetic material of choice is poured or injected. The last step is the application of those prosthetics on set. Here is a run through in photos:
